CURRICULUM JOURNEY MAPS
Julia Atkin and I used this idea at a full day workshop at the recent ULearn conference. We asked participants to draw a map of their school's curriculum journey. This accomplished, they drew a dotted line and briefly mapped the future for curriculum. Many of the maps were wonderful and the discussions that flowed drew out some great issues for group discussions. Another idea - if you had time you could ask people to map their personal curriculum journey from their own schooling on... I used tthe school curriculum idea in shorter workshops later in the conference - of course we didn't get the deeper conversations because of time constraints, but it still worked well.

Schools around New Zealand are exploring ways to redesign their school curricula. This existing noticeboard provides a place for schools to post their contact details and a brief outline of the work they are doing. We hope this will enable them to make connections with others (either nearby or at a distance) to extend their professional conversations and to share ideas.
